Poundbury is an experimental new town or urban extension on the outskirts of Dorchester, Dorset. The development is constructed on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and it is built according to the principles of Prince Charles who is known for holding strong views challenging the post war trends in town planning that were suburban in character.
Vickery Court sits in the very heart of Poundbury, with easy access to all amenities of the thriving both Poundbury and Dorchester. Small boutiques, a little Waitrose, and a number of intimate cafes are all within a short walk, and the centre of Dorchester with its wide range of quality shops is just a few minutes by car or public transport.

The brief from the client was to produce a high quality and luxurious interior aimed at the over 60’s affluent and downsizers market. The classical design had to be in line with the grandeur of the buildings.
