About Islington Square
Very modern living spaces with unique floor plans
Islington Square is a development by Cain International and comprises the conversion of an Edwardian Royal Mail sorting office into large warehouse apartments. The buildings retain many of the original features including high ceilings and ornate detailing. Inside are very modern living spaces with unique floor plans
The development offers a selection of Dakota suites and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across three buildings. These sit along with maisonettes and penthouses in one of London’s most sought after locations.
Islington Square will include 170,000 sq ft of quality shops and restaurants, complemented by an all-day leisure offer. This includes Third Space Health Club, Maggie and Rose and a six-screen, Odeon Luxe and Dine. Accessed via Upper Street by two brand new arcades opening out onto a tree-lined boulevard; Islington Square is the ideal location for your brand.
New ID Living were commissioned to design, supply and install the show apartment
Kiran Bhatia the lead designer for the project commented about her design
“The Zen Apartment collection at Islington Square has fantastic views onto the large Zen Garden, and the client wanted the interiors to reflect this. I wanted to balance this tranquillity with vibrant colours and earthy tones. As per the brief, the apartment was designed to appeal to a young professional, perhaps someone who loves travelling, and who wants a warm, colourful home with curated accessories throughout.
The open-plan kitchen, dining and living room has a striking feature wallpaper which recalls tree bark, paired with a moss green sofa and spotted rug for a youthful touch. There is a bonsai tree in the living room and miniature hanging terrariums in one bedroom amongst other greenery, connecting to the nature outside. Throughout the show home, there is a balance of mixed woods, wicker, and black detailing for a contemporary finish.
