The brief from Places for People was to create a high end, modern but minimalistic design for the penthouse to attract the younger market.
Having wanting something ‘modern’, Places still wanted key features around the property to symbolise the history. This was portrayed through the artwork, the reception occasional table, and pieces of dressing out.
The chosen colour scheme was stemmed from the Engine Yard brochure, using an array of bright, clashing colours. All dressing out items were carefully selected so the target market can really visualise themselves living there.
My favourite room was the kitchen/living room. I find that the bright colours used on the upholstery is very inviting in the light, spacious area
