Strathmore House, Poundbury, Dorset
Poundbury is an experimental new town or urban extension on the outskirts of Dorchester, Dorset. The development is constructed on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and it is built according to the principles of Prince Charles who is known for holding strong views challenging the post war trends in town planning that were suburban in character.
Strathmore House sits in the very heart of Poundbury, on Queen Mother Square, with very easy access to all the amenities of the thriving communities of both Poundbury and Dorchester. Small boutiques, a little Waitrose, and a number of intimate cafes are all within a short walk, and the centre of Dorchester with its wide range of quality shops is just a few minutes by car or public transport.
Classically inspired, traditionally specified, yet with all the benefits of 21st century living, these luxury apartments offer the best of contemporary living with the latest finishes and fittings to accommodate modern family life. High ceilings, large windows, and a rare attention to detail, ensure that every apartment is the epitome of quintessential British charm.
New i.d were commissioned to produce the show apartment and Design Director Zoe Hartridge said “The brief from the client was to produce a high quality and luxurious interior aimed at the over 60’s affluent and downsizers market. The classical design had to be in line with the grandeur of the buildings.”
Elliot Stiling –Sales and Marketing Director of Zero C said “We are truly delighted at the quality of the show apartment. It wasn’t an easy brief to meet I’m sure but the positivity of everyone who has visited the apartment has been overwhelming. I’m very pleased indeed.”
