Roborough Eco Village, Plymouth, Devon – Zero C
Roborough Eco Village is pushing the boundaries; nestled on the edge of Dartmoor National Park six miles from Plymouth town centre, the development is setting new standards in contemporary design and carbon conscious living.
Whether you are single, a couple or a family this is your chance to be part of something completely different. With striking architecture and embracing then latest energy saving technology these two, three and four bedroom homes are designed to make you feel good.
The look and feel of the interior is all about sharp clean lines, good size windows on every level let natural light flood in.
New i.d Interiors were commissioned to design and deliver the 4 bedroom show house.
Emily Rayner the lead designer said “The Profile of Purchaser was a range from growing families to first time buyers as there is a wide spread of different homes. The brief was to be very contemporary & fresh with some Swedish design elements coming through. Because the site has ‘Eco’ credentials I used a lot of wood finishes giving a natural organic feel, using faux plants through accessories to compliment this too. The client wanted quite a minimal look so I was conscious not to fill every space with something to give a spacious non-cluttered feel. Colour & Pattern were brought in through the soft furnishings and accessories, which brought fun and interest to each room.
