The Kingsmead Apartments is an outstanding collection of one and two bedroom homes in a fantastic location, within walking distance from Hertford and Ware town centres and the beautiful River Lea. Each apartment has its own parking space, while the development benefits from excellent road, rail and bus links, plus a whole host of useful amenities and leisure attractions.
New ID were commissioned to design and furnish the show apartment. The development was named “The Kingsmead Apartments” because it is located right opposite a natural area of Meadows and Meads. The target market was first time buyers and single parent families.
As the apartments were being sold on a shared ownership basis the purchasers had to live or work in East Hertfordshire to qualify.
I was asked to create a modern contemporary scheme for first time buyers considering the location of the property which is close to Kings Mead, a natural area of meadows & meads.
I particularly like the wallpaper in the Reception which is a watercolour inspired print which brings a bright, young, fresh look to the room. This was complimented by a mix of white gloss and wooden furniture.
The Master Bedroom has a gorgeous panelled effect wallpaper which has a slightly more grown up feel to it while the second bedroom is very fun, bright and young with lots of colour.
