About
The Show Home
Duchy Field is in the quiet Oxfordshire village of Bletchingdon, only nine miles from Oxford. The new homes embrace traditional forms and building materials, helping to preserve the historic appearance of the village.
One glimpse of the homes at Duchy Field, and two words spring to mind, character and quality. Each property exudes a strong sense of Duchy Field’s distinctive identity, influenced by the Arts and Crafts Movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The show home will give you the chance to view our beautiful new homes in Oxfordshire for the first time and see for yourself the stunning homes that have been created by renowned architect Francis Roberts.
Contemporary floral patterns, rich velvets and ‘country ‘style furniture was introduced to enhance the overall look. Three of the bedrooms were themed; one was a young boy’s room, one was a young girl’s room and one room was designed for an avid budding photographer that was interested in architecture.
We also designed a guest bedroom that was tranquil, calm but pretty; imagining grandparents or family friends to stay in this room when they visited. The Master bedroom portrayed an elegant feel with ‘blueberry ‘accents to the colour palette.
We were asked to design an interior that considered the area and potential purchasers. Aimed at young families and using the colours from the marketing material; we produced a fresh modern design with ‘berry’ colours throughout.
