The Show Home
New ID Living were commissioned by Beauchamp Estates and Central Estates to provide an interior for a show house in the prime Central London area of Mayfair. The period property originally a commercial office building has been extensively redeveloped and extended to provide a substantial Mayfair town house on 6 floors offering beautifully appointed and sized rooms of 5 en suite double bedrooms, Master bedroom suite with huge en suite and dressing room, five reception rooms, a gym, swimming pool, separate staff quarters, and two outside terrace areas. Many of the original features were kept and restored. The brief given was to present a modern scheme that showcased the space and ambience of this property. We also had to consider that it was being marketed to overseas clients and had to appeal to a wide audience.
The finishing touches were paramount, using specific key accessories to add an individual identity to each room.
On completion, the finished outcome was well received by our client. They were grateful to us for adhering to the brief and were extremely confident that the work done would go towards an imminent sale.
Paul Finch of Beauchamp Estates said “This was a very important project, it was absolutely essential that we got the interior design right so that the property would be well received when it hit the market. New ID did a great job, they interpreted the brief exactly and gave us a great finish.”
The project was designed using a wide variety of finishes to incorporate the original period features with a more modern look, which we knew would work well together. The dominant colours were neutral and light with an injection of strong colours which were introduced in the artwork and soft furnishings.
