New i.d was commissioned to produce the show home on the site. Lara Franklin the lead designer was asked to design a three bedroom show house with a scheme suitable for a young family, including a children’s bedroom within the design. Lara said “ Bedroom three was aimed at a young girl gave me the opportunity to bring in some additional colours and with the use of accessories and artwork, patterns of hearts, stripes and cupcakes. I was able to create a room fit for a princess. I decided to create a luxurious classical feel throughout the rest of the property, yet practical and suitable for my target market. With the use of decorative shapes mixed with rich wood colours and antique mirror finishes, gave the house a lavish feel. The idea was to create a warm and inviting environment. By using analogous colours (colours from the same side of the spectrum) like blues, purples and greens gave that splash of colour to brought the whole scheme together as a perfect family home.”
